Engaging and creative social competition drives positive results for Volkswagen.
Connector has partnered up with Volkswagen for the past two years to run the VW Snapshot campaign. The Instagram based contest encourages photography enthusiasts to discover their creativity and upload photos to Instagram using the #VWsnapshot hashtag along with their chosen category hashtags.
Overall, both year’s campaign results were outstanding. VW Snapshot achieved 1.4 million reach, 14.5 million impressions, over 500,000 Likes on Instagram and more than 12,000 photos entered using the #VWsnapshot hashtag. Volkswagen Ireland’s Instagram follower count shot up by just over 3,000 followers, while its competitors stagnated.
