Sony fans scream loudly for Ireland’s first ever Snapchat marketing campaign.
Sony is a popular smartphone brand in Ireland but wanted to engage more with a younger audience. Leading up to Halloween, Sony wanted a digital idea which would get young people
talking about the brand and interacting with its digital channels.
In 2014, Snapchat was an up and coming social channel and brands were only starting to use
it to harness social engagement. Connector devised a Snapchat marketing campaign for Sony which asked Snapchat users to send their scariest, most blood-curdling screams to Sony’s Snapchat account. The most haunting scream won a Sony Bluetooth Speaker. This ticked all the boxes as a fun, interactive and youth-focused digital idea.
