Bloom 2014 showcased 30 exquisite show gardens, from the very best of Ireland’s landscape gardeners and designers as well as over 120 Irish food producers.

Visitors planning to attend the show in 2015 can expect a host of other features, including the Floral & Nursery Pavilion, advice and demonstrations on the techniques required to achieve a perfect floral display at home, a fantastic new Plant Village live entertainment at the Picnic Area and an Irish Craft Village.

The Children’s Zone, Budding Bloomers, will have a vibrant mixture of features to keep children entertained and active where they are encouraged to play, learn and grow!

Connector is delighted to be working with Santa as he tries to reach even more kids, especially those who have been good this year!

Created by Cara Magic, Magic Friends Xmas is a really cool interactive app for adults and kids to have fun together at Christmas. It allows children to talk to Santa and his friends on an iPad or iPhone, where Santa is voiced by a family member as the Puppeteer on a second iPhone or iPad connected to the internet. The kids can also hear different stories and ask Santa what they want for Christmas.

Sony Mobile presents experimental audio visual show from Stano on Friday night 5th September in Temple Bar

Our client Sony Mobile is proud to present Dublin’s experimental musician STANO Ireland with his new show ‘DECODER’ on Friday night, September 5th. An amazing mix of 3D projection mapping, stunning pictures of Ireland and great experimental music will turn Meeting House Square, Temple Bar into the coolest party in Dublin on Friday night. All ticket sale proceeds will go to ARC Cancer Support Centre. Judging by last year’s event UNSPOKEN which was a great success, this will be a great event not to be missed!

Two 10 metre screens will be the electronic canvas for a cool mix of 3D mapping and amazing impressions of Dublin, resonating with various types of music including classical to electronic.  The event is also the launch of Stano’s new DECODER album which is the 11th in his career. When we spoke about the event, Stano said I’m very excited to bring my Dublin through music and images to a new audience. Even more than that I want to use this experience as a spotlight and appreciation for the great work ARC does for cancer patients.

Just like Sony’s Xperia smartphones, Stano’s productions have high definition audio and outstanding imaging features. DECODER is an event that definitely shouldn’t be missed.

Digital Out of Home Advertising (DOOH) – is it nothing more than another digital marketing buzzword, or, is it a digital marketers dream? For those who haven’t yet realised the prevailing trend of advertising that engages and connects with customers – it’s probably the former. But for digital junkies who understand its potential, it’s a dream.

DOOH is the use of digital mediums – typically digital LED or LCD screens – by marketers outside of the home to promote their business, service, product or brand. Last year alone consumer exposure to DOOH increased by 7.2% and though it might not seem like a lot, that percentage equates to the average consumer seeing 14 minutes of DOOH advertising every week.

It’s clear just from looking around these days that DOOH is far more prevalent than it once was, with far more digital billboards and interactive advertisements dotted around than ever before.
